Fishing report 1 May 2007

Glenmore Trail - 22X
A BIG fish took me down to the last few coils of backing today before he turned.
The backing burns through your hand so you have to palm drag on the reel. I
thought a moment about the arbor knot tying off on the spool........ didn't want to
have to kick myself. That's where I lost him, in thought. Good, steady fishing all day.
Quite a bit of rising activity at times. Hatches were midges and mayflies. Boated
seven fish. Two on Tom Thumb dries (yellow), the remainder on the san juan
and copper john. Great day!

Cloudy day with sunny breaks. +17°C.

On the river 8:30 AM-6:30 PM.

Flow: 73 cms
Water Temp: NA°C
