Fishing Report 07 July 2009

Glenmore Trail - Fish Creek Park
I was caught out in cats and dogs and duck weather three week
ago. Dressed for the weather and nestled safely along the shoreline
underneath sheltering cottonwood trees I completely enjoyed the
spring torrent. The forecast was poor this Tuesday as well, however
the sun shone, the wind was low, and, the fishing was summer good.
Best fish was a stunning 21" cat faced HOG brown found eating the
smaller golden stones. Flies working were golden stone, pheasant
tail and prince's nymph. Six other boats out on the water and many
others fishing from shore were not seen to be having much luck
though. We caught browns, rainbows and mountain whitefish.
Haven't picked up a fish yet this year on the SJW, noteworthy
as two years ago it would have been a "go to" fly. Wonder full day!

On the river 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
