Fishing Report 21 August 2007

Glenmore Trail - 22X
No hogs like last week but more plentiful, a mixture of browns and rainbows.
Biggest of the seven fish was only about 16 inches. Stayed with nymphs all day,
SJW was the best and a princes nymph below a stimulator pattern drew two browns.
Sun in the AM and a nice feeding time at 1 PM about an hour after the clouds rolled
in was fun and missed some with late hook sets. Some, adult stone and may fly hatches.

Sight fishing I found a large brown warming itself in the shallow water near the
bank. It wasn't taking anything I casted for it so I made some trials and mapped
his vision. I was able to consistently get nearly beside him, a step down river, before
it saw me and moved out into the depths of the pool and then back again to the bank
within minutes.

On the river 9 AM - 3:30 PM.
