Fishing Report 11 September 2007

Glenmore Trail - Fish Creek Park
Started out using a copper john and it worked so well it was the only fly
I used on the outing. Steady fish, all browns, until about 11:30 AM, when
the fishing slowed some. All fishing was from the boat and before I knew
it I was early at the take out. With the whole afternoon ahead of me, I
started fishing the copper john nearer the surface toward a fish that was
feeding 20 meters below the launch at Fish Creek. It took a half an hour and
I had given up on him, one last cast. A step toward shore intending to let the
line drift down to the next hole and hooked up with a beautiful 22" fish, the
lone rainbow of the day. Good weather, great fishing!

On the river 9 AM - 2:00 PM.

"Side Hill Sam" pictured here, not to be confused with "Cactus Sam", my first dog.
The canoe is a large one, eighteen foot, yet somehow he makes it look like a toy.
